Life is our canvas, and guess what? We’re all artists, painting our masterpiece one brushstroke at a time. November and December brought a tapestry of great experiences. Some of the vibrant hues that painted my canvas was the residency my oil painting, “Intercambios” received in the Los Angeles Municipal Art Gallery from December 2023 - March 2024! After having residency at the Manhattan Beach Art Center, my painting found another home in the heart of the city’s artistic pulse: Los Feliz. In the midst of this bustling season, I found time to craft with passion and purpose, creating two new oil paintings.
The Mexican Consulate of Los Angeles will be holding a three-month residency in 2024 and I submitted two pieces (combined as one)! This opportunity intertwines the love for my art and culture, a beautiful bridge between creativity and heritage. Admist the evergrowing art scence, I still made a concious effort to revel in the beauty of life’s smallest details.
From the smooth coldness of an iced matcha latte on a chilly morning to the warm laughter shared with loved ones, these moments became the subtle brushstrokes that added depth and richness to the canvas of my days. Add the element of holiday cheer and family time becomes a cherised palette of love, awakeing, and growth.
In the blink of an eye, these past two months added new layers to the masterpiece of my artistic journey. As the canvas of life unfolds, I look forward to the adventures that the new year will bring. Life is more exciting when you know that each brushstroke holds the promise of a new and exciting chapter. Make sure to stop by next Wednesday for another adventure in photos. La vida es nuestro lienzo, ¿y adivina qué? Todos somos artistas y pintamos nuestra obra maestra pincelada a pincelada. Noviembre y diciembre trajeron un tapiz de grandes experiencias. Algunos de los tonos vibrantes que pintaron mi lienzo fueron la residencia que recibió mi pintura al óleo, “Intercambios”, en la Galería de Arte Municipal de Los Ángeles de diciembre de 2023 a marzo de 2024. Después de tener una residencia en el Manhattan Beach Art Center, mi pintura encontró otro hogar en el corazón del pulso artístico de la ciudad: Los Feliz. En medio de esta agitada temporada, encontré tiempo para trabajar con pasión y propósito, creando dos nuevas obras al óleo.
¡El Consulado de México en Los Ángeles realizará una residencia de tres meses en 2024 y envié dos piezas (combinadas en una)! Esta oportunidad entrelaza el amor por mi arte y mi cultura, un hermoso puente entre creatividad y herencia. A pesar de esa creciente escena artística, hice un esfuerzo consciente por deleitarme con la belleza de los detalles más pequeños de la vida.
Desde la suave frialdad de un matcha latte helado en una mañana fría hasta la risa compartida con mis seres queridos, estos momentos se convirtieron en pinceladas sutiles que agregaron profundidad y riqueza al lienzo de mis días. Agrega el elemento de alegría navideña y el tiempo en familia se convertirá en una apreciada paleta de amor y crecimiento.
Y así de rápido, estos últimos dos meses agregaron nuevas capas a la obra maestra de mi viaje artístico. A medida que se desarrolla la obra de la vida, espero con ansias las aventuras que traerá el nuevo año.
