A Garden of My Own
Although having a place of my own is wonderful, my apartments’ one disadvantage is not having a garden, let alone a pond. A place where I can let life thrive with the incoming sunlight, embrace the vibrant colors of each flower and the scent of fresh herbs. Having all the primary colors at my disposal, what better way to bring a garden into my life than to paint one!
There’s something about a deep, rich blue that is inviting. When you see it, you want to lay in its depth as if it were a cool pond. The bright pink flowers and yellow vines float softly while white twinkles of light reflect on the water. I may not be able to have a real pond in my apartment, but this oil painting has certainly given a fresh and rejuvenating energy to the place.
With this summers’ heat secluding me to the coolness of my apartment, the pond I created is most suiting for a mental escape from the dry heat outside and a place I can always find a garden of my own.
Make sure to stop by next time for another fun blog post. My YouTube channel will be documenting my journey in video form while also sharing some more art tips. Till next time.
